Which of your pieces was the most challenging to write? Give three reasons and explain.

Personally, I thought that the 3 pieces that were hardest to write was my college entrance essay, my Credo Presentation, and my Descriptive Essay. My college entrance essay was difficult to write due to the fact that I had to choose between my two parents, and it was hard because both had provided so much for me. My Credo presentation was hard merely because of the beginning, because I had no Idea what to write about initially. Finally, my Descriptive essay was the hardest because it was hard for me to talk about someone who died. I didn’t handle death very well, and I still don’t, so that was really hard for me.

Which of your pieces was the most enjoyable to write? Give three reasons and explain.

The 3 pieces that I most enjoyed writing, was my College entrance essay, Credo Presentation, and what Makes me come alive essay. I enjoyed writing my College entrance essay because it was kind of hard, but it was kind of fun, because I got to think about everything that my mom did for me. I enjoyed writing my Credo Presentation because after I figured out the topic, it was a breeze. I enjoyed writing the What makes me come alive essay because I like writing about things that I like.

What are your strengths and weaknesses as a writer? Explain.

My Strengths are that I am able to write a lot in a short amount of time. However, my weakness is that although I can write alot, usually it isn’t the best, and I am not very creative.

What have you done to develop your strengths and minimize your weaknesses as a writer? How successful do you feel you have been? Explain.

What I have done is, instead of just writing a lot in a short amount of time, that I would look over what I have written, and make sure no mistakes were made. This not only develops my strength but minimizes my weakness of mechanical errors. I also would set aside time to just think about what I should be writing.

What kind of future career or field of study are you considering? What kinds of writing might be important in this career or field? Explain, giving specific examples.

The future career or field that I am considering is engineering. The kinds of writing that might be important for this would be writings like SAT essays and such. This is because these focus more on the skill part rather than the creativity part.

What advice would you offer the College Writing teachers as they plan this unit for next year? What might be some additional pieces of writing to add and why? How was the timing and pacing? Did you receive enough feedback? Did you receive enough instruction and input so you knew how to do each assignment? You can make specific comments about specific assignments here. What did you like or not like and why? What would make this unit more student- friendly, provide more learning, or make it more interesting? Explain.

In my opinion, this class was perfectly fine. I enjoyed having class time to work on our stuff, and I also enjoyed having Mr. Nollan frequent us with stories, and have an interactive class. He frequently told us about his personal life, and the books that he was reading, so on and so forth. It was all quite nice, and student-friendly. Something that I would like is keep up with all the stories and interactive class time. Perhaps even have a few more books for us to read.
